Remember this dress? The one I found stashed inside the armoire?
Exactly one year later it fits!
It looked so big when I got it. How can it fit already?!?!

New Foods
We have been having a blast around here watching Maari discover new foods. It is like a guessing game, "what is Maari going to try next?" So far her favorite has probably been bananas. At first we thought she might be a little bit of a fussy eater, but no longer. I think she was just getting used to the newness of it all. Now she eats whatever, whenever. With the new eater, come new bibs.
These two are of my own design.
And these, from Amy Butler's Little Stitches for Little Ones. The pear design came from a bag pattern in Zakka Sewing.
Really, I don't think you can ever have enough bibs!
We can only hope that she grows to be as fabulous an eater as her brother. That kid will try anything, which makes my life much easier and our meals much more exciting.

Dress Up
I just have way to much fun dressing this child. It is a good thing I had a girl this time around! Here is the newest summer outfit:
I used a maternity shirt that I had picked up at a garage sale. Double thrifty - maternity top & baby dress all for 75 cents!
And to match, a reversible bonnet. Both patterns came from ithinksewdotcom.
The bonnet is a tad big. I am hoping it will fit better this fall, maybe next spring.
Yes, it is good to have someone to dress up. I was the little girl who spent hours and hours dressing and redressing my hoard of dolls. Even the poor cat was forced to wear doll clothes. Maari does not object quite as badly as the cat did.

Bubble Dress
Some new summer dresses (not that she really NEEDS anymore) that should last into fall:
They are from the Oliver + S Bubble Dress pattern. Love that poofy bubble effect. One in pretty flowers, the other in funny carrots.
The carrots?? Well, they are appropriate for the little carrot top!
