Rainy Days

It has been a little dreary around here the last week. The sun has finally made an appearance today - thank goodness! In addition to the cruddy weather, Justin and I have been a little bummed out about a house that we put an offer on. It was quite the little piece of heaven - our dreamhouse in fact. It had lots of space for this expanding family and incredible panomaric river views. The best part - we could afford it! Unfortunately in order to afford it we would have had to sell our house first - not an easy task in this market. And, someone else did not need to sell a home - so we lost :( Oh well, we are mourning (as Justin puts it, "it is like losing a girlfriend"), but look forward to another opportunity.

On a brighter note, with all the rain and cold Maari was able to get lots of wear out of her new jacket.

It is the Oliver + S Sunday Brunch Jacket. I made it in a green denim-like fabric that I had lying around.


I am happy with the way it turned out and it seems to be passing Maari's taste test.

And yes, it can be quite difficult trying to photograph a 5 month old!
